Beltimport’s positioning and corporate website
THE OBJECTIVES OF THE AGENCY
The modern consumer, even if we talk about a staff member of the Procurement Division and the Supply Section or about an engineer, takes a visit to the manufacturer’s website before deciding to purchase a thing. Therefore, every business should have representatives in the network and ensure that all the needs of potential customers in information would be satisfied.
As far as the brand wanted to change its own positioning and to secure the image of a technological leader, the development of the corporate web site was not enough. For this reason we have set the following goals:
- to create brand positioning as a leading supplier of high quality conveyor and drive elements in Ukrainian market;
- to develop modern corporate website.
THE FIRST STEP IS POSITIONING
We thoroughly researched the subject of conveyors. Firstly, we watched their movement in person, attended to that carefully, we were looking for something unusual and inspiring. Then we divided the research into 4 parts and analyzed the brand itself, the target audience, competitors, as well as the latest trends on the conveyor market.
As a result, we noticed that the key feature of the conveyors is motion. After all, only because of the movement, conveyors are able to create technical wonders. Based on this idea, our team has developed the new Beltimport`s positioning.
TO ILLUSTRATE THE POINT WE CREATED THE EMOTIONAL VIDEO
We created the emotional video that put users into an alternative world without conveyers. We erased from the video the products, which were manufactured with the conveyers involved. The plot is built around daily life without things that bring as comfort. Among them are plastic, treadmills, food and so on. In other words – we showed the users a world without movement, thanks to which life is filled with the essential details such as inspiration, emotions and comfort.
AND FINALLY LET’S TALK ABOUT THE CORPORATE SITE
The site beltimport.ua starts with an intro -assembling of a 3d model of the conveyor made of metal elements. Through this metaphor we demonstrated the continuity of the work of the mechanisms. After the intro the conveyer takes the form of the linear drawing, linking the intro with the overall design of the site.
The next thing to take into account is the design of the main page. Visual styles used on the website are restrained and laconic. The main purpose of there is to focus users’ attention on the company’s technology. The navigation on the site conveys the idea of the conveyors’ progressive movement. The background is a rhythmic video sequence, which demonstrates the variety of spheres where conveyors could be used.
You can access the main sections from the menu. There are only four of them and each solves its’ own task.
Since one of the important achievements of the company is the team of professionals, the “Team” section is of great importance. Besides the photo, users could find there unique video content, which represents all the key people.
And of course, we did not forget about the production section. How could you deal without it on the corporate website;)
TECHNOLOGIES USED AND ADAPTIABILITY
We created an adaptive version of the site under three basic screen resolutions for Chrome, Opera and Firefox browsers.
Technologies that were involved:
- Laravel Platform – PHP Framework;
- Database management system – MySQL;
- Animation was carried out with the use of SVG and GSAP.
The corporate site turned out to be informative, easy-to-use, interesting and emphasized the company’s image.
